Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and 360 Awalis in the holy land, two pages of a bud is our Sylhet country. Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI), as a business partner for all business friends of Sylhet, was established on 06 January 2013 by the approval of the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The term associate is interpreted as a bridge, bridge, translator or co-ordinator with all types of traders directly and indirectly connected with government and non-government organizations to increase the communication and cooperation of businessmen.

The other name of the chamber of commerce is the Board of Trade, which is the business of a type of traders. Organizations who work as Advocates by the local business community and cooperate with them. The world's first chamber of commerce was formed in 1599 in Marseille, France. At present, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce organizations in every divisional city of Bangladesh are working to help businessmen. In continuation of this, Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI) started its journey.

Natural gas, oil, stone, limestone, and scenic scenes of nature can be Sylhet, the destination of traders, as well as the dream city of luxury / tourists. Sylhet City Corporation was established in April 2001 and Sylhet Metropolitan City was announced in March 2009.

In Sylhet, around 5 hundred branches of the bank are waiting for the possibilities of huge amount of lazy investment. Currently, Economic Zone is being established in Sylhet. According to a feasibility report of DFID and the European Union, all facilities available in Sylhet are available for managing food processing, electronics, software, glasses and ceramics, plastic, toiletries, pharmaceuticals, packaging, textile, sugars, leather, garments etc.

The Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI) has made its debut for contributing to the economic and social development of Sylhet and Bangladesh by working with everyone on the issues related to the interests of Sylhet traders by utilizing the opportunities and possibilities of globalization
